Before you ask. Short answers.

Cost

Is anything billed monthly?

No. KitAlly has no plans and no monthly fee. You pay a share of what your stores sell, and nothing in a month when nothing sells.

What does it cost to start?

A retail shop pays a $1,499 onboarding fee once, before its first store. A contract decorator joins free. Every store after that costs nothing to open.

What is the fee actually taken on?

3.5% of the products and decoration on each store order, before any discount. Sales tax and shipping are left out. It stays with KitAlly if the order is refunded.

What about card fees?

Card processing is 2.9% + 30¢, passed through at what it costs. KitAlly adds nothing to it.

How does the referral credit work?

A retail shop that sends its decorator to DecoBench gets $400 off its KitAlly fees. A decorator that sends a retail shop to KitAlly gets $400 off its DecoBench monthly subscription. The shop that joins pays the full fee.

Stores

What kinds of store can I open?

Print on demand, which stays open and sends orders every day. Team and pop-up stores, which close on a date and send everything in one batch. And fundraisers, which close on a date and set a share of each sale aside for the cause.

How many stores can I have?

As many as you like. One for every team, school, club and company you work with.

Can shoppers put their own name on it?

Yes. You choose which items offer a name or a number, how many letters fit and what it costs. The shopper types it on the product.

Can I make the designs in KitAlly?

Yes. The designer places your art, clipart and text on the real product. Then put one design on many products at once.

Can the store look like the club?

Yes. Add the club's logo, banner and colors, and preview it exactly as a shopper will see it.

Can I run discount codes?

Yes. Percent or dollars off, with start and end dates, use limits, a smallest order, and for the whole store or one product.

Shipping or pickup?

Either. A store ships each order to the shopper, or has everything picked up from one place.

Shoppers and paying

Do shoppers need an account?

No. They can check out as a guest. No passwords to reset and no roster to keep clean.

Can a company pay instead of the shopper?

Yes. A store can put orders on the company's account instead of taking cards. The company is billed twice a month.

What about sales tax?

You set sales tax on each store. It's added at checkout and paid to you, and you report and remit it. A client marked tax exempt pays none.

How do I get paid?

Through Stripe. Pick weekly, every two weeks or monthly, and your payouts land on that day once you are owed enough. Nobody has to ask for one.

What does my client see?

Their client login shows what each store sold, what they earned and when it is paid, with none of your costs. Clients of a DecoBench shop sign in with their DecoBench portal login.

Making the goods

Who makes the goods?

You choose. Make them yourself, or pick another decorator on KitAlly. A decorator outside KitAlly can get each order by email, on a work sheet, or in their own system.

Where do the orders go?

Straight to the chosen decorator's DecoBench account. Nobody downloads art or forwards an email.

Do I have to buy stock?

No. Nothing is made until it is paid for, and the blanks are ordered as the store sells.

What does the decorator charge?

The decorator charges for the pieces it actually made, at its own prices.
